in shock
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll be 61 in Aug. and I have just been informed that I have PCOS by a dietician. I went for a health assessment to see how fit I am or not and at the end sat down to discuss results with dietician. We talked about all my health problems through the yrs. and that 3 or 4 yrs ago I was told I was a diabetic. That's when she said it sounded like I had PCOS, and that it is a case of too much testosterone, and I was born with it. I've had: fertility, weight, acne problems, ruptured cysts, along with miscarriages, ectopic preg., uterine cancer ( a complete radical hysterectomy), and now diabetes. My husband of 36 yrs has consistently "tried to help" me with my weight. He's military and "'knew" I was not exercising enough or eating too much. He's been a pain in "my you know what". I feel like I did when I found out at the age of 47 that I was ADD. Once again I am overwhelmed with all kinds of emotions: grief (for what could have been), shock, disbelief (and at the same time here are the reasons all this has happened), and many more I can't even name. Has anyone had success with "bioidentical hormone treatment"? |
