Ok I am PISSED!

They told us that LIzzy was coming home-I said "are you sure? Is this definite?" They said "It sure is! As soon as we get services set up we can move her home." So today I work to get services set up-the longest it will take is one week. So then we turn around and CYS says-well the head of CYS has the right to appeal it-they will let us know tomorrow! WTH??????????????? I am SOOOOO Livid right now! DH is upset cuz he didn't want to tell her last night but I did because they told me it was for sure. She begs me daily to come home-what am I supposed to do? Lie? She cries. It's horrible to listen to-I'm not the professional in this situation-I'm the mom-and sometimes I think CYS expects me to be the professional-not the mom. (Example-having to set up the services for her because they don't know what to do and don't want to be bothered). Anyways-if they appeal it I'll lose it!

oh no. I hope they don't appeal. I don't get why they would not let a child go back to where she wants to be and where you want her to be. They seem to make everything so difficult. (((hugs))) I hope she's home soon

oh my goodness! THat is terrible!! I would be livid too. I hope everything goes through ok. And after it does, you need to complain that they shouldn't tell you that it is final, when it isn't.

Can you call the head of CYS and talk very calmly to her/him? Continue setting up the services so that as long as all goes well, you'll be ready for her next week! But if you can call that person who now has the right to throw up a road block and convince them that they should not do that, maybe that would help and get you the resolution you need today? But I totally agree... I would be livid that they told you it's a done deal before it IS a done deal! I would wait to tell her until you know one way or another... I wouldn't call her back and tell her "well maybe not"... that would be too much of a roller coaster for her. If it is for you, I can only imagine how much worse it would be for her...

punkin- I'm so sorry hun! I can't believe they would say it's final and then say it's not 100% final. That's so stupid. I really hope you get things worked out!!!
