Does anyone post here anymore? It would be nice to catch up with the folks who are not on FB.

I think that I am one of he few that still checks the cowards from time to time. It's sad for me to see that no one posts here any more because it helped soo many of us.

Default Miracle

Miss the old days as well!

Old update for me- My Twin pregnancy was high risk & I was in the hospital for 2 months & a week. The drama began at 24 weeks, when I went in for routine ultrasound & it showed a funneling cervix, 1 cm dilated by vaginal exam. At 25 weeks I went into preterm labor & they had me sign consent for a c-section because I was 3 cm dilated & contracting regularly. At 28 weeks I was 4.5 cm dilated, 75-80% effaced, -2 station. I stayed on hospital bedrest until they decided to discharge me a couple days short of 33 week. I did a week, 1 day of bedrest at home. At 33 weeks & 6 days I started to bleed heavily & rushed to the hospital & was told I was 6.5 cm dilated & within 4.5 hours of arriving, I delivered by miracle boys by normal delivery 11/12/13, Ethan at 5:26 pm & Jacob at 5:34 pm. They stayed in the NICU for 2 weeks. The physicians were shocked I had made it that far. Every day I lived in fear, but was able to relax at 32 weeks gestation. I did not shower & only did sponge baths because I was fearful that the water dropping on my breasts & abdomen would cause me to go into preterm labor. At the hospital, I would elevate my legs to keep pressure off my cervix. I FOUGHT to stay in the hospital as long as I could, but they kicked me out, even though I insisted I would rather stay there until 34 weeks gestation because I was feeling a lot of pelvic pressure. The only thing that saved my babies was Godly intervention. No man or medicine could stop preterm labor at 25 weeks.

I still peek in here from time to time to see if anyone is around. Here's my update:

I had a very high risk pregnancy...I had a cerclage put in at 14 weeks, 17P shots every week from 16-36 weeks. I also had gestational diabetes. They looked at my cervix every 2 weeks until I was 32 weeks, but my cerclage held strong. They took it out at 37weeks, and that same day admitted me to the hospital for induction because I was showing signs of early preeclampsia (raised blood pressure, protein in urine), and since I was 37weeks they thought it was safer for me and baby if I delivered right away. I was induced, went through 12 hours of excruciating back labor, then had an emergency c-section because my labor stalled and baby's heartbeat started to fluctuate. When they did the c-section, my doctor said that his head was wedged into a spot where there was no way I would have been able to deliver on my own. Marek Alexander was born on January 14th at 8:26pm, 8 pounds, 20 inches long. He wasn't breathing when he came out, scared the hell out of us. He also had blood sugar problems because of my diabetes medication and had to spend his first 5 days in the NICU. Now he's a bit over 10 weeks old and is absolutely perfect. He's my little miracle.

I think about you ladies often, and I'm forever thankful for the support I found here.
