Shorty- Most costs are different depending on the agency you go through. I would say, google some agencies in your area or wherever you want to adopt from and their websites should tell you an idea of what to expect. You have to do all that fun stuff first, then home studies, background checks ect. Good luck to you

Hey everyone! Thought I would update on my and DHs situation! We'll be turning in our adoption application on August 26 to an agency. I already started filling it out and am getting a little nervous over all the answers that don't seem "complimentary" toward our ability to be approved, but I keep telling myself to be HONEST as possible, the last thing i want to happen is it not get approved becuase I fudged on something. I wish this growing a family was easier for us, but God must have a plan, a reason, a purpose.

Met with an aquantance the other night and she said she is not really interested in keeping her 3rd child. Which she is 5 months pregnant with. Will be discussing with her whether or not she is willing to sign him over to me in the following days. Hopefully I will have the chance to give that baby boy a loving home where he will be wanted.

Thanks gator. Im really hoping she'll give him to me. She doesnt want her other two so I would love the chance to give him a loving home. I know she's not been a very good parent.. Im trying not to get my hopes up in any way shape or form. If i did get him though, he would be just under a month younger than my goddaughter! That would be amazing. I just really want that chance to love and hold my own sweet little angel, regaurdless of his or her bloodlines.

Howd: What an unsual way for a blessing to present itself!!! Best of luck to you, I hope that it works out. If not, just know that wasn't "your" baby...God had another one meant for you, but if this is the baby God has planned for you my fingers are triple crossed!!!!

Our case worker is coming to our house tomorrow for our home study visit. We should be approved and on line within 2 weeks!!!

(I know we submitted our initial application a long time ago, but moving states, ttc, pregnancy, miscarriage all attributed to our delay in furthuring the process until recently.)
