Default Can PCOS go away on its own?

I am 42, i was diagnosed with PCOS when i was 25. I had all the tpyical symptoms: irregular period, multiple follicles on my ovaries by ultra sound, and lab resuits shows as well. I had a failure IVF when i was 34. I stopped seeing the doctor after that. I never had any medications for it neither.

In a recent test, the doctor said the symptoms are completely gone, normal ovearies, blooding levels are normal as well. The doctor was also very surprised to see, even doubt whether i was correctly diagnosed previously. I went to see a different doctor, who was also shocked, said this is not likely to happen.

Can this happen?

It's not likely it would just go away, however, it can be controlled with Diet & Exercise. So I would think it's possible maybe you were missed diagnosed?
